Subsidies and grants for business

The State waste levy introduced on 1 December 2011 will change the way Queensland businesses dispose of their waste. To assist businesses and industry reduce the waste they send to landfill and their levy liability, several support programs have been developed by the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM).
reThink Business Waste Services (RBWS) Program (Apply now!!!)
A $750 subsidy is being offered to assist small businesses and commercial body corporates to review their existing waste management arrangements, and commit to improvement by introducing a new resource recovery service, or amending their existing resource recovery service.

reThink Business Waste Equipment Rebate Program (available in late 2011)
The reThink Business Waste Equipment Rebate will provide a rebate on the purchase of bin equipment and awareness raising material to help business improve their resource recovery systems.
Waste Busters for Business Program (available in 2012-2013)
The Waste Busters for Business Program will provide on the ground support for businesses to undertake waste assessments and find solutions to minimise their waste.
