eWaste recycling program
Council has drop off facilities for electronic and electrical waste (eWaste) at designated waste transfer stations. Residents can bring their household eWaste and drop it off for recycling or treatment.
eWaste that is suitable to be dropped off by residents includes:

computer equipment - desktop PCs, laptops, monitors, hard drives, keyboards , computer mice, computer power supplies, network and memory cards, floppy disc and CD drives
- home office equipment - printers, scanners, photocopiers, fax machines, answering machines, landline telephones, mobile telephones
- electronic games and toys - computer game consoles, joysticks
- entertainment equipment - televisions, stereos, DVD players, hi-fi equipment, speakers, video players, digital cameras, video cameras
- household appliances - vacuum cleaners, microwaves.
The current Council waste transfer stations accepting eWaste for recycling are Helensvale and Merrimac waste transfer stations.
